Tips on taking digital images of your parts:
- Take a number of images, different angles, close ups of key areas or areas that have damage or severe pitting and rust.
- If the item needs removing, or dismantling do this first, so we can see it clearly.
- Use an object of relevance or a ruler in the photo as a size indicator.
- Use a red marker to mark what ares need polishing or chroming. If some areas are out of sight mark them up to as the finish can be reduced if necessary.
- Don’t take a long distance photos of your bike or engine bay and ask “how much to chrome the engine” It looks very nice but we can’t see the engine in detail. Take close ups they are best.
- If you have lots of parts you can lay them out on the floor or the kitchen table - just don’t tell the wife we said that.
